I have had a long career in education and tutoring. I have taught high school science in New York City for the past seventeen years. While I was pursuing my graduate degree in biochemistry, I taught anatomy, physiology, and cell biology at the city University of New York.While I was a student and during my time as a teacher, I tutored students with diverse backgrounds and abilities in the sciences. Physics and biology are my favorite disciplines to teach and tutor. I can also tutor students in zoology, different aspects of biology and chemistry, and the earth sciences. I can help students prepare for various SAT subject tests in the sciences as well as the Regents exams. Some of my students have been accepted into colleges and pursued careers as doctors, nurses, and veterinarians.When I work with my students, I am able to break down concepts into building blocks that the students can easily understand. I am also able to motivate my students, encouraging them to work hard to achieve strong results. I feel it is important to engage the students in the material, as that contributes to a successful learning experience.I enjoy spending time outdoors camping and fishing.
